Police said two people were in the car. The passenger stepped out and the driver fired the shots, police said. It's not clear what may have transpired between the three men before the shooting.
The wounded man ran south toward 68th Place and collapsed, police said. Police found at least four shell casings at the bus stop and seemed to focus on a broken beer bottle that spilled its contents on the sidewalk.
The other shooting happened about an hour earlier in the West Englewood neighborhood. A 21-year-old man was standing outside with a group of friends when someone opened fire from a passing car, police said.
The 21-year-old was hit in the leg and the wound left a trail of blood up porch stairs at a home in the 7000 block of South Wolcott Avenue. He is expected to survive, police said.
